T. Philip Nichols is an assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Baylor University. He holds a Ph.D. in Literacy, Culture, and International Education from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also earned an M.A. in History and Sociology of Science. His research brings these fields into conversation, examining how the ways we learn, teach, and talk about literacy are entwined with the histories and politics of science and technology. He is especially interested in how these convergences are implicated in the struggle for racial and economic justice in education policy and practice.
